SB:- Just accommodating teams that aren't performing and teams that have won flags. It is really just a convention that the best and worst go up and down. The league takes into acount other factors as well. This year we lose Werribbe to Div 2 and get Northern Saints, Beaconsfield 2 and Western Devils. 12 teams in all.

Army:- No wonder it is eating my numbers. It is number challenged. Who is the moderator here? The board is reporting it is 2305 hrs when it is actually 0104 hrs. Can't we deal with daylight saving, or are we being outsourced to some backward hics in cane toad territory?

LOL:- You make me laugh...a lot
Wednesday, 17 February 2010 09:38 -

SB:- Actually Army...we are outsourced to a very reputable (and cheap) shelf company in the outer districts of Mumbai. When I last spoke to Shwami, he assured me that GMT was philisophical concept that he was unfamilair with. He also commented that it was interesting that our Div had the same number of teams as his family demi-god had arms! Apparantly, after consulting with the intestines of a small rodent, this augers very well for the year ahead!
There is a self-help group for cranky old bastards that I am aware of and will forward the information to you. I am lead to believe that a regular medicinal dose of an odd combination of Port wine and coke will do wonders for temperament. See you tonight

Army:- Gentlemen and ladies (just in case).
I have started a AFL Dream Team league.
It is called BHN Super League.
Anyone interested in joining and playing for a decent prize Please follow the link below to register. If and when prompted about which League you wish to join you click on the option : I have been invited to join a Private League.
It will then ask for the league code which you enter:572093
If you are new to this make sure you read the instructions carefully and ask your team mates for advice before you start drafting your players.
You can watch your players score live via the website in real time.
Entry is $20 per head.
One team per person.
Family members welcome (my daughter won our league last year).
There is sixteen team spots available. That should mean a prize pool of $320. If all places filled we will pay $250 for winner. $50 for second. $20 for third. If Matty is ok we will get monies paid to him for safe keeping.
[dreamteam.afl.com.au]
LEAGUE CODE: 572093

Army:- Just looking at the league website, no news as yet on fixtures at all. Unless you have heard something SB.
I will release our innitial training dates this weekend guys. They will be subject to some change oing forward as and when we get a fixture to work off. Don't wait to start recruiting though. We want 2 teams up and running if we are to challenge for some silverware this season.
Browny. How's that dodgy shoulder coming along? Affy is getting cartlidge removed on Jan 18th and will start training with us late Feb. Martini, 3 Oldies (I count Kim), Obi and Steeley all firmly on our radar at moment. More to come soon I hope. And if you think you can get a young one for Hoody's juniors, do it. The more they get, the more we can take from the vet ranks of the junior member of the club. 36 outside. it feels like footy weather to me.

SB:- Hey Army, yes...clearly 43 degrees is the time to start training!!!
It will take me at least 6 months to move the Xmas and Xess fat I have stored over the off season.
I have heard nothing from the league about the fixture, but probably looking at around Easter. Also may want to consider the tournament on the Gold Coast as a pre-season fixture. Never too early to start recruiting. I am going to get some business cards made up, see me when training starts to get a few for your wallet to hand out to people.
"I gotta work out. I keep saying it all the time. I keep saying I gotta start working out. It's been about two months since I've worked out. And I just don't have the time. Which uh..is odd. Because I have the time to go out to dinner. And uh..and watch tv. And get a bone density test. And uh.. try to figure out what my phone number spells in words."

Army:- Was actually the BHN Cricket Club / Hockey rooms. Only damage to our area was a flood light taken out as the roof sailed past it; high above our rooms.
Hell of a mess though.
The front of the rooms is sort of teetering too. Massive damage inside by first the wind and followed by torrential rain.
Woodsy; I think the framed score card of our record 300 plus partnership was also lost in the damage. We may have to recount each run to them so they can rewrite it. I think a bottle of bourban and six hours should be all we need to help them out.

LOL:- A teacher instructs her fifth-grade class to ask their parents to tell them a story with a moral at the end.
The next day the kids come in and share their stories. "My daddy told me about my uncle Dave," says one boy. "He was a pilot in Vietnam and had to bail out over enemy territory with nothing but a flask of whiskey, a pistol, and a knife. He drank the whiskey during the drop, then landed in the middle of 20 Charlies. He shot 15, stabbed three, and killed the last two with his bare hands."
"What is the moral of this horrible story?" yelps the mortified teacher.
"Stay away from Uncle Dave when he's drinking."

I'm overwhelmed by your concern. Thanks for caring. The Mitcham was Woodsy's idea; he figured it's "half way" for all concerned. They're licenced till late/early, and only close early if there's no-one there. Personally, I'm open to all suggestions, - How's the CBD sound?
Lastly, they may refuse us entry, depending on how shabby we are at the time. I promise to try and not embarass my fellow Club members, but good to know you've got my back mate... See you tomm. night.

We are a division of the Box Hill North Football Club and it is great that we are having this night together. Don't think that we aregoing to play second fiddle as we should have half the numbers there. So everyone get on board and support it because it will be a fantastic night out and a lot of effort has gone into the organisation. Anyway Jeff, we need you in your suit to help bring that touch of class to the evening.

Chris, the cousin the Freemans talk about, came good with his long range prediction of Hilf being leading wicket taker for a $50 collect. There is only 1 week left with Browny but the Punters Club does still have the free $100 plunge to make so I would be interested to hear what the general consensis is and place the bet.

SB:- Not sure about being proud... a loss is still a loss. We fought out the game though. A "relatively" succesful year. Looking forward to next year even now!
Get down to the club on saturday night for a big one. The "juniors" are playing at Eleu Park on Sat, get down and support.
