2 Nat Carnival wins - Metro's Over-35s team finished second, narrowly going down to the home team Queensland after a tight game v Tassie and a strong win against Vic Country.
A mostly new squad was well coached by Ray Shaw, and featured Simon Minton-Connell (pictured taking a strong contested mark to goal and shut the gate on Tassie's charge) and Paul Barnard, with great performances from Steve Bawden, Damian Bradley and Justin Hamilton winning All-Australian in the Supers
Vic Metro won the Championship in Over-50s and Over-55s at the Maroochydore Qld XXIXth National Carnival.
