We may struggle a little for players due to about 8supers players hanging up the boots after our supers premiership in our first year. We will need to call on our opponents to lend us some players especially on the 3 matches we play away from our masters Gippsland ,Geelong and Footscray.

State squad players given preference. If you have a BigV jumper please bring it.
Div3 is a Brunswick and friends v Frankston and friends Masters game. (eg Knox, Carrum, maybe Penins)
Sides will be mixed to give an even game.

Round 1 was a winner all round. But we cannot be one week wonders and let it slip now. We must push this onward.
We all worry about the Masters BUT it is time to make the Over 47's our game FIRST then if we get a chance go back & help the Masters out.
Please don't let all the hard work go to waste.
See you all when I get back from my trip. I will keep a close eye on all things.

Second Hand Report replied: Great game with a one point win for the Southerners. The venerable Gordo cut em to pieces in the ruck to give Jockey and the other little guys the first use. Conway was speedy around the wings and good delivery into the Northerners forward line kept them in it.
Anyone got some more details?

Round 1 Wrap replied: We kicked the dew off the grass BUT the Over 47's is up and running. 37 hearty soles ran onto Willy Footy Ground ready for anything. The bodies may be older but the spirit is still surprising. We battled hard all day with Footscray coming out on top. A couple of hammies went snap but it did not dampen the enthusiasm shown. Great endeavour shown and great mates at the end. A winner all round.
